JAKARTA (Reuters) – Indonesia’s state-owned enterprise minister said Friday that a Chinese consortium would invest $ 5 billion in an electric battery company that would also include China’s contemporary Amperex technology (CATL).
Erick Thohir spoke during a visit to China, referring to a deal announced late last year that would see CATL investing $ 5 billion in a lithium battery plant in Indonesia and starting production in 2024.
