NHL recap: Knight Marc-Andre Fleury receives 66th career shutout

Marc-Andre Fleury scored 14 saves for his fifth shutout of the season, moving Ed Belfour for fourth place in all-time victories with his 484th career win when the Vegas Golden Knights beat the Arizona Coyotes 1-0 on Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas.
Tomas Nosek scored the winner in the middle of the third round for Vegas, which completed the eighth round of a two-game series this season.
Fleury, who only had to make four saves in both the second and third periods, also finished 15th on the NHL list of all time with Patrick Roy with the 66th career shutout. The 14 shots allowed were a franchise record low for Vegas.
Adin Hill finished his 10th straight start with 28 parades in Arizona.
Sabers 5, Flyer 3
Sam Reinhart and four other players each scored one goal as Buffalo’s visit passed Philadelphia.
The Sabers’ other targets came from Arttu Ruotsalainen, Jeff Skinner, Rasmus Asplund, and Casey Mittelstadt. Asplund’s record in the third period turned out to be the winner of the game. Jacob Bryson added two assists for the Sabers and goalkeeper Linus Ullmark made 40 saves for Buffalo, who overcame a 2-0 deficit in the second half.
Shayne Gostisbehere and Joel Farabee each had a goal and an assist and Oskar Lindblom added a goal for the Flyers. Goalkeeper Carter Hart stopped 26 shots.
Penguins 5, devil 2
Jake Guentzel registered his fifth hat trick of his career and Colton Sceviour scored twice to help Pittsburgh win their third straight game and defeat New Jersey.
Bryan Rust and Mike Matheson each had two templates for the penguins. Tristan Jarry stopped 28 of 30 shots from New Jersey.
Miles Wood and PK Subban scored a goal for New Jersey who lost three out of four. Mackenzie Blackwood made 19 saves.
Predators 3, Stars 2 (SO)
Ryan Johansen scored the shootout’s only goal, and Nashville overtook Dallas visit.
Johansen opened the shootout, took his time to get to the net, then drilled the puck past Dallas net reducer Anton Khudobin. Teammate Juuse Saros (24 saves) did his job in the shootout, and the Predators, who hold fourth and final playoff spot in the Central Division, also scored goals from Ryan Ellis and Yakov Trenin to win for the 12th time in 15th Play to win.
Roope Hintz scored with an assist and defender Jamie Oleksiak also scored for the Stars who were aiming for a third straight win. Khudobin scored 18 saves for Dallas, which equates to 2-11 in games that have been decided in the past. He’s in sixth place at headquarters and six points behind the Predators.
Avalanche 4, ducks 1
Gabriel Landeskog collected one goal and two assists to reach 500 career points and lead league-leading Colorado to a road win over Anaheim.
Andre Burakovsky, Ryan Graves and Nathan MacKinnon also scored one goal for the Avalanche, while goalkeeper Jonas Johansson scored 24 saves. The Avalanche, who finished the season 6-1-1 against Anaheim, are running a 15-1-2 run.
Jamie Drysdale scored for Anaheim while John Gibson stopped 33 shots for the Ducks, who were last in the West Division and only got one win in their last six games (1-4-1).
Islanders 3, Rangers 2 (OT)
Defender Ryan Pulock scored 1:13 in overtime and the hosts Islanders split from rivals Rangers in Uniondale, NY
Pulock’s goal helped the Islanders improve to 18-2-2 after a 4-1 loss to Rangers at home two nights.
Kyle Palmieri and Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored in the first half, but the Islanders took the lead 2-0 for the second time in three games.
Capitals 8, Bruins 1
TJ Oshie, Lars Eller and Conor Sheary each scored two goals when a visit to Washington resulted in a victory over Boston.
Oshie also added a support. Goalkeeper Vitek Vanecek showed another strong performance, scoring 34 saves as the capitals remained connected to the islanders for first place in the east. New York scored an overtime win against the Rangers.
The Bruins hoped goalkeeper Tuukka Rask could make it back, but Dan Vladar stepped inside. He made 25 parades, but was constantly under fire.
