Investing.com – US stock markets opened higher again on Wednesday, bolstered by hopes of the spread of a Covid-19 vaccine soon next year and undaunted by the record number of infections across the country last week.

Leading the way, however, was tech stocks, which benefited from a bargain hunt after underperforming sharply in the past two days as investors switched back to cyclical and financial stocks.

At 9:35 a.m. ET (1435 GMT), the score rose 134 points, or 0.5%, to 29,555 points. That rose by a little more than 0.5% and that rose by 0.8%.
